Better than Coffee
Here is a good computer tip for those of us who spend way too much time sitting and writing all day... Each time you log onto Facebook or Twitter or your own blog, take three complete, full Pilates breaths through your nose while you focus on your lateral rib expansion. Be sure to fully exhale every bit of your air through pursed lips as you contract your deep core musculature. Keep your upper shoulders soft and relaxed the whole time.
This practice takes just a couple minutes but will greatly boost your energy much more than that reheated cup of coffee beside you.

Restless
Last night, I woke up at my usual 4am with my brain going a mile-a-minute. I have a whole relaxation routine I usually go through when this happens, but nothing was helping. So, I began working on my Pilates breathing techniques. After about 10 repetitions, I was yawning almost uncontrollably and asleep within minutes....Wow!
